Air Separation Process

Industrial gas is known as the “blood” of industry, and gas consumption is closely related with the speed of economic development. Air separation equipment, one of the core equipment in the industrial field, is widely used to produce high-purity gas and is interdependent with industrial gas.
The main constituents in the air are oxygen, nitrogen and argon, all existing as molecules. The most commonly used method is cryogenic separation. Firstly, compressing and cooling the air to liquidation, and then separate it in a rectification column since the difference of boiling point of each component. For example, when liquid air is boiling, nitrogen (boiling point: -196 deg C), which is easier to volatilize, will be vaporized first, and oxygen will be vaporized later (boiling point:-183 deg C). The whole process includes compression, purification, heat exchange, liquefaction, refrigeration and rectification. (As shown below)

Indian Liquid Unit Coming to Last Commissioning Stage

Suzhou Xinglu Air Separation plant (XLA for short, since 1992), company that specializes in designing and manufacturing the cryogenic air separation plant, mainly focuses on the development and innovation of technology. It has modern manufacturing and service system, with professional engineers of manufacturing, instrument control, quality monitoring and technology to provide one package service like technical consulting, research and development, designing, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.

This 140TPD liquid air separation unit designed and manufactured by XLA for an Indian customer has finished installation smoothly before. Our commissioning engineers have been arranged to the jobsite as required. With close cooperation between our engineer and workers there, commissioning of compressor has been completed successfully, and now working on that of expander. Till now, this project is near its end and going to run. This plant will be another successful case for XLA in Indian market.

Introduction of Cryogenic Nitrogen Plant

Nitrogen has a wide application as protection or seal gas to promote the product quality in various industries as metallurgy, petrochemical, electronics (including integrate circuit and kinescope), medicine, building material electro-magnetic, colored metal, textile, heat treatment and etc. Nitrogen can also be used as chemical raw materials, liquid nitrogen can be used for cold source needs.
By cryogenic separation, both gas and liquid nitrogen could be produced with different pressure varying from 0.2MPa to 0.9Mpa. Meanwhile, producing nitrogen with two pressure stages simultaneously is available as well. The purity reaches as high as 0.01PPm O2

The commissioning of equipment exported to Europe was successfully completed

Good news: The mounted unattended equipment designed and produced for European customers by Suzhou Xinglu Air Separation Plant Science and Technology Development company. After successfully passing the welding engineering inspection of the customer in October,  we have completed the debugging and acceptance of the customer in the factory.
This set of equipment in line with the European Union production standards, the full set of CE standard certification. The following figure shows the equipment preparation in the factory before commissioning.
